The College Conversations

We have some pretty funny conversations around our house about colleges. We have some very serious children who wonder what careers await them. Brooks is especially interested in "what he should do" when he grows up. This is a major area of prayer for them. However, the wheels of the mind often lead to some pretty great conversations.  

Robert regularly says we will live wherever our kids are in school. This presumes that they are at the same college.  He jokes with Brooks that he will carry Brooks' books and eat with him in the cafeteria. Totally joking and yet totally serious. 

So Brooks announces to Mommy that he is going to rent a 2 bedroom house when he goes to college. He goes on to state that he will live there alone and then when Landry comes 2 years later, she can have the 2nd bedroom. Here he is assuming she will be there with him. How sweet!  My heart could burst with love. 

So I had to take it one step further and ask for the 3 bedroom so Daddy and I could come too.  He was like, "I am already paying for a 2 bedroom, how will I afford 3?"  I am wondering myself about just 1. I love that he expects that they will always be together and buddies. 

Left Hand Theories by Landry

So Landry was pondering punishments of the Bible; especially those tied directly to the sin. She goes on to conclude that if she were going to do anything sinful with her hands, such as steal, she would have used her left hand. This way she would have her left hand cut off as her punishment and still be able to use her right hand like normal. Hilarious what they think. 

Easter Break 2015

We had a lot of fun during the break and are left longing for the glorious days of summer. We went to the Science Center, had many play dates, enjoyed Easter weekend with family, went camping with the Smiths at Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury, NC and took first trip to SciWorks in Winston!

Happy Easter

Brooks and Landry have enjoyed for many years, the Egg Hunt and fabulous sharing of the Gospel at the Apple's Farm. What a blessing to see them loving God's Word and the traditions of childhood.
