Brooks is 11!

"I'm 11. I know things". Brooks' running joke to keep Mommy's wound open concerning him growing up. All of a sudden, I went from being able to rest my head on top your head, to your head covering my mouth. This is probably the first time I have been able to truly see your growth and also feel it.

You had a great check up weighing in at 82.5 pounds (50%-75%), 60 inches (90%) and perfectly healthy. Praise the Lord!

Your party was so fun!  We all headed up to Proehlific for a fun time of basketball and then came home for Minute To Win It silly games and pizza. You have really fun, caring friends and had a lot of fun. This year you invited Tucker, Jacob, John Copeland, Caden Dollyhigh, Jonathan, Eli and Danny.  Blake was not able to come. Fun times!

Father Daughter Dance 2016

Always a highlight for Landry. This is second only to Christmas morning for her. She looks forward to the next year's dance the moment the current one ends.  Before the dance Daddy and Landry ate salads at Harper's.  We gave Landry 3 Britt Nicole CDs and she gave Daddy a Starbucks giftcard.

Brooks and I always enjoy a date night too. This year was Phoenix Asian, Delicious Bakery and Captain America Winter Soldier movie on a blanket in living room while eating dessert. Great conversation and time together.  Brooks' Valentine's gift was swim jammers for practices.

Daddy Knee Boarding

Summer of 2014, we went on Uncle Steve's boat. Daddy did a great job knee boarding. I was able to get up briefly and Landry just laid flat and got smacked around. Brooks did not catch on quickly which is out of the ordinary for him and therefore frustrating. We had so much fun and cannot wait to do this again.

Toby Mac Concert

The concert was unforgetable. Colton Dixon, Britt Nicole and Hollyn opened and they were terrific. TM's show was truly amazing. Beautiful worship, such amazing talent, the whole family knowing all of the lyrics, singing,the skills by the band, dancing!  Brooks said - I will never forget that concert. I certainly feel the same way. Our expectations were exceed!  Sharing the night with 40 + friends was beautiful!

Halloween 2015

Very fun year. A few nights before Halloween we met friends at Summerfield Farms for trunk or treat and story time. 

On Halloween, we trick-or-treated in our neighborhood before stopping by to say hello to the Lovetts. Their neighbor who has the scary house was out of town this year which really disappointed you both. Brooks had planned his costume around the idea of helping out to scare people at the scary house.  Your still scared plenty. Landry was Alex Morgan, the professional soccer player. Yum!
