We spent Easter Break in Pennsylvania visiting various towns. We began in Lancaster where we saw “Jesus” at Sight and Sound Theatre, horse buggy tour through Amish Country with Aaron & Jessica's Buggy Tours and visited the first hard pretzel bakery in Lillitz.
In Hershey we visited Hershey Park, stayed at Hershey Lodge, made our own chocolate creations and learned a lot about the Hershey Co. and Milton Hershey.
Our last stop was Gettysburg Battlefield. We had a private guide on a 4 hour tour where we learned everything our brains could handle in 4 hours. Brooks said,”I was having to forget things as he was saying them so that I would have room in my brain for the next thing.” The museum and historic buildings are really special. We visited the Shriver Home (kids had read book) which has been restored and modeled as it would have been when Confederate soldiers took it over and fought from the attic. The David Wills House is where Lincoln stayed the night before his Address and the bedroom furniture is on display there. It was a really fun and educational time.
