Dream Team

Landry loves playing basketball at Proehlific Park for the Dream Team.  At end of season we all met for ice cream and the girls did their cheer a final time.

Brooks Gets Braces

Brooks has been looking forward to getting braces for a few years.  Dr. Trentini did a great job and we are headed toward perfectly aligned teeth.  Were fortunate to be able to do over Easter Break so he could have a few days to figure it out.  Not very crooked to begin with as you can see but just need to bring whole bottom row forward and tweak.  He has adjusted super well.  Ladies at the office love the hair!

Easter 2018 - Pennsylvania

We spent Easter Break in Pennsylvania visiting various towns.  We began in Lancaster where we saw “Jesus” at Sight and Sound Theatre, horse buggy tour through Amish Country with Aaron & Jessica's Buggy Tours and visited the first hard pretzel bakery in Lillitz.

In Hershey we visited Hershey Park, stayed at Hershey Lodge, made our own chocolate creations and learned a lot about the Hershey Co. and Milton Hershey.

Our last stop was Gettysburg Battlefield.  We had a private guide on a 4 hour tour where we learned everything our brains could handle in 4 hours.  Brooks said,”I was having to forget things as he was saying them so that I would have room in my brain for the next thing.”  The museum and historic buildings are really special.  We visited the Shriver Home (kids had read book) which has been restored and modeled as it would have been when Confederate soldiers took it over and fought from the attic.  The David Wills House is where Lincoln stayed the night before his Address and the bedroom furniture is on display there.  It was a really fun and educational time.

Big Snow January 2018

We have enjoyed a beautiful, fluffy 8 inches of snow!  We were out of school Monday for MLK Jr. Holiday and then received this big snow overnight on Tuesday, leading to Wed - Fri out of school!  We have been sledding on the golf course over and over.  Such a great way to spend a few days out of school.

Here are a couple of good sledding videos:

For your birthday party you celebrated at home with Jacob Huitsing, Blake Lovett, John Copeland and Tucker Smith.  You played Dude Perfect games, football and basketball.  You had a great time and felt very celebrated.  This may be the most drawn out 13th Birthday ever!  We love you Brooks.
